Born in San Juan, Argentina in 1960 and in 1972 moved to Buenos Aires. Attended workshops in drawing, painting and photography since childhood. He graduated from the National University of Buenos Aires, as an architect in 1985.
He taught design at the Faculty of Architecture of the UBA 1985 to 1991. He attended seminars and Theory of Art and Modern and Contemporary Philosophy. Develops his work in paintings, objects, texts, photographs, and installations.
He received the Grand Prize of National Pro Arte Córdoba in 2001, the 2nd prize in the National Hall of Santa Fe in 2000, the 3rd Prize prize drawing Siemens / MNdeBA in 1994, among other national awards.
He has participated in more than a hundred group exhibitions of contemporary art in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, Berlin, London, Zurich, Rome, Madrid, Shanghai, Caracas, Bogota, Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities. He has had solo shows several times in Buenos Aires, New York, Miami, Berlin and Rome. His works are major institutional and private collections in the country and abroad.
Develop teaching and work production analysis. Da seminars Argentine contemporary art. Curatorialmente Directs and coordinates the scheduling of rooms Alsina and the House of Culture of the National Endowment for the Arts from March 2005. Directs workshop program analysis and monitoring of production theory and practice in the visual arts FNA nationwide since 2006. Make curatorial and theoretical texts writes about visual arts. Co-directed and co-produced with Fernando Farina POETIC CONTEMPORARY book. Itineraries in the visual arts in Argentina from 90 to 2010. Jointly published by the FNA and YPF Foundation, 2011.
He is Director of the National Arts Fund since February 2005.
